Hi! I’m Charlene, a retired mom and grandmother who retired after 45 years in Engineering and Human Resources. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in faith, I attended Eden Theological Seminary’s Life Program in St. Louis, MO to explore my faith on a deeper level all while working full-time and being a mom.

I became a lay pastor at my family church. was always active in church teaching Sunday School, Leading the Choir, playing music, singing and serving on the church board.

After retiring almost 350 miles from my home church, I was missing serving others. I found social media and felt I could serve others in that compacity. That is how “Char Growing in Grace” came into existence.

I feel I have so much to share with others to make their lives better. My late husband and I were always big on giving back. I have decided to create a community where people will be empowered.

Our community is Empower with Purpose, where a portion of the membership will go to help others. I want to Empower individuals to be more, do more, give more, and have more – all through the Grace of God.
