Retirement, Memories, and Why You Shouldn’t Wait to Live Your Life
A little over seven years ago, my life changed forever. I lost my husband after 5 ½ months in the ICU. Watching him fight every day was heartbreaking, but what brought me comfort were the memories we made together.
Vacations in Maine every summer. Trips to Disney with our kids. The laughter, the joy, the experiences we shared. Those moments are priceless—and they can never be taken away.

That’s why I always encourage people: don’t wait. Don’t put off taking that trip. Don’t convince yourself that “someday” is guaranteed. The truth is, none of us are promised tomorrow.
If I could go back, there are things I’d do differently. I would have chosen to work for myself sooner. Don’t get me wrong—I’m grateful for the companies I worked for. But looking back, I realize the years of hard work built someone else’s dream more than my own.
Now that I’m retired and have stepped into entrepreneurship, I see things differently. When you work for yourself, all that effort—the sweat, the grind, the long hours—pays you, not someone else. You reap the rewards. You build the legacy.
And honestly? I worry about today’s young people—my children, my grandchildren. Will they ever be able to retire? With rising costs and uncertain futures, it’s a real concern.
That’s why I’ve chosen to jump into an opportunity I believe in: MWR Life.
This isn’t just another company—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to build something meaningful. MWR Life is a digital travel platform with a proprietary app unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And the compensation plan? Truly one of a kind.
Even more inspiring is the culture. Just today, I received this message from our founder, Yoni Ashurov:
“At MWR Life, we are not just building a business, we are building lives filled with freedom, purpose, and opportunity… Remember, success is never built alone, it is built together, as a family… Together, we will continue to elevate lives and create a legacy that will impact generations to come.”
That resonates deeply with me. Because for me, this isn’t just about money. It’s about legacy. When I’m no longer here, what I’m building with MWR Life can be passed on to my heirs. That gives me peace.
And here’s the truth I shared earlier today—too many of us keep showing up for jobs that leave us drained, miserable, and unfulfilled. We keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting something to change. But that’s the definition of insanity.
Sometimes, you have to face the hard truth: if you want different results, you have to make different choices.
So here’s my challenge to you:
👉 Don’t wait until it’s too late.
👉 Don’t put off the trips, the memories, or the chance to build your own future.
👉 Step outside your comfort zone.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about retirement. It’s about living life to the fullest—today.
